In August, Pine Forest Country Club hosted the inaugural Papa Lee Golf Tournament honoring longtime resident Lee Besse while more than 100 golfers united in support of Dorchester Paws (a cherished local animal charity).
Organizers plan to make the tournament an annual community tradition.
🏈 Sports
On Aug. 22, Ashley Ridge captured both the men's and women's championships at the Ripley's Invitational swim meet in Myrtle Beach, earning 90 and 117 points respectively.
The team also won the Pinewood Prep Invitational 5,000 Meter race that day.
